Despite the interruption from the rain the final event of the Creightons Hibiscus Carnival turned out to be a tight exciting finish.
Reduced to 2 games of 10 ends due to the rain, play was able to continue under the Stingray Dome in a revised format.
And what a finish - from the 28 teams entered, the top 6 teams all finished with 2 wins and the top 4 had to be decided by wins then ends. The winners won by a margin of +27, 2nd place + 24 and then 3rd and 4th with + 23 - but the 3rd team had 16 ends to team 4’s 15 ends.

We were overjoyed to have Creightons Community Liaison representative Erin Harris in attendance to present the winners with their winnings.
Creightons Funeral Service have been fantastic supporters of the Bateau Bay Bowls Hibiscus Carnival for several years.
